The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Professional Driving Schools (NLAPDS) was established in 2026 when a group of professional driving schools from across the province came together with a shared vision: to strengthen the driver training industry through collaboration, professionalism, and a commitment to road safety.
Recognizing that today's driving environment presents new challenges and opportunities, member schools united to create a provincial association dedicated to advancing driver education standards, sharing best practices, and promoting consistency in training across Newfoundland and Labrador. By working together, the NLAPDS provides a collective voice for professional driving instructors and training providers while fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
A key part of the Association's mission is to build strong partnerships with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and other road safety stakeholders. Through open communication and collaboration, the NLAPDS works to support initiatives that improve driver education, enhance public awareness, and encourage safe, responsible driving habits throughout the province.
Our members believe that quality driver education is one of the most effective ways to reduce collisions, save lives, and create safer roads for everyone. By combining the experience and expertise of professional driving schools across the province, we are helping shape the future of driver training in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Today, the NLAPDS serves as a trusted advocate for excellence in driver education, supporting instructors, students, and communities with a shared commitment to safety, professionalism, and lifelong learning.
