Sean is the President and CEO of Safety NL, formerly known as the Newfoundland and Labrador Safety Council. He is an accredited public relations professional and the first Newfoundlander and Labradorian to be inducted into the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) College of Fellows (FCPRS). He served as the National President of CPRS and is the recipient of four prestigious national public relations awards. He also holds a Political Science degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
He is recognized for his leadership in strategic communications, crisis communications, stakeholder relations and issues management. Sean has more than 25 years of senior level and executive experience in public safety and occupational health and safety. He was the spokesperson for the Occupational Health and Safety Branch of the Provincial Government for 10 years and led communications at the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB) for 11 years. He played an instrumental role in the developmentand delivery of two major international offshore safety conferences and facilitated several Offshore Safety Forums. He is now entering his fifth year with Safety NL.

Josh is the founder and owner of A+ Drivers LTD. He brings a strong educational background and over a decade of hands-on experience as a driving instructor to his role. Before founding A+ Drivers, Josh attended Memorial University of Newfoundland where he completed degrees in Education (Intermediate/Secondary) and Technology. After working as a high school teacher in the metro area, he developed and honed his skills as an educator and developed a deep appreciation for student engagement, clear communication, and structured hands-on learning.
Recognizing how seamlessly those teaching skills translated to behind-the-wheel instruction, this paved the way for the creation of A+ Drivers. Though his daily role has shifted to executive leadership and running the business, Josh remains a driving instructor at heart. He continually relies on his years in the instructor seat to guide company policy, refine curriculum standards, and mentor new instructors - ensuring A+ Drivers stays true to its mission of patient, high-quality driver education.
Outside of work, Josh likes to keep things grounded. A cup of tea is a prerequisite for every conversation and he enjoys spending time with family, friends or simply strumming his guitar.

Driving School: Western Driving School, Owner
Cathy was raised on the west coast of Newfoundland in the communities of Stephenville and Benoit's Cove. She dedicated 31 years of service to both the provincial and federal governments, with most of her career spent in Motor Registration. Throughout her career, Cathy served as a Certified Driver Examiner for 10 years and taught driver education for 13 years, helping hundreds of new drivers develop the skills and confidence needed to drive safely.
For more than 54 years, Western Driving School has been a trusted name in driver education on Newfoundland's west coast, providing generations of drivers with quality instruction and a strong foundation in road safety. Seven years ago, Cathy proudly purchased the business, bringing with her a wealth of experience in driver licensing, testing, and education. Today, she continues the school's longstanding tradition of excellence while helping ensure new drivers are well prepared for the responsibilities of the road.
When she is not working, Cathy enjoys spending time outdoors and participating in a variety of outdoor activities, appreciating all that Newfoundland's beautiful west coast has to offer.
